Devastation of Baal (Space Marine Conquests Book 1) (English Edition) Reviews
Narrator and story is great.Real entertainment.
A very solid read. Dante leads the Blood Angels and as many of their successors as possible to save the homeworld of Baal. This is firmly set in the "modern" WH40k, as we get a visit in the end by the VIP of VIP's.It's a battle against the Tyrannids for the fate of Baal and the Blood Angels. There is a twist in the story, and a lesson is not learned about following plans. There is some really nice moments at the end about change. If you prefer heavy, heavy fights, you might be disappointed, but not being a huge Blood Angel fan I still fan this to be quite good.A sizable book at a reasonable price. I think you have to pick it up if you want to follow the meta storyline.
Epic battle against the 'nids, intrigue and answers about the Blood Angel's genetic curse, and some good continuation of the current WH40k lore...it's all in this novel and it was awesome. I don't want to spoil too much but suffice to say that Baal is nearly destroyed along w/ its defenders but if you've been keeping up w/ the WH40K lore since the fall of Cadia and Guilliman's return then you already have a general idea of how the Blood Angels ultimately fare and how it is achieved. A definite 'must-have' for WH40k fans, Blood Angels fans, and those thirsting for more detailed lore on this new WH universe and the events during the Indomitus Crusade.
First piece of 40k literature I've read, and it was AMAZING! I'm a hardcore Tyranids fan and while some of the more epic beasts were played down a bit, they did a great job at highlighting the ferocity of the hive mind.
A book tying in to the current state of 40k and a good companion book to Dante. Don't wanna give away too much of the story line so I'll leave it at that.
good read in general, I love Dante!
