Complete Taekwondo Poomsae: The Official Taegeuk, Palgwae and Black Belt Forms of Taekwondo Reviews
Nichts Neues, keine nachvollziehbare Darstellung.Wer Formen laufen möchte, der kann viele bessere Bücher finden.Für Anfänger unbrauchbar, für Fortgeschrittene nutzlos.
Just getting into TKD and purchased this with the intent of summarizing down to a few "cheat sheets" as I undertake learning my forms. It took a while, but I got down to one page, so happy with that. One thing to note is that the author's nomenclature to various kicks, punches and blocks varies just a tad across the forms I reviewed. In which cases I normally resorted to the associated pic to decide what was going on in that step. But for the most part, pretty solid.
Having borrowed this book already, I knew it would be quite helpful. After studying so many forms, it is sometimes necessary to review form one has not performed in some time. The forms all have easy to understand directions, with pictures for a guide. I'm very happy I ordered my own copy!
Great book with good photos. Some (but very few) photos are in the wrong place, but the descriptions below the photos are in the correct placements. My guess is the taeguk forms are standard, but I have passed all of my taeguk forms already. I have been looking for a printed version of all the black belt forms which are coming down the pipe for me. There must be a difference with each instructor as to which black belt forms are required. Only a few of the forms in this book are the same as those which I must learn.
I have practically all Grandmaster Sang H. Kim's DVD's and books, he's tops in TKD for me. The content is good and it's all here, but the photos are kind of washed out. When I started out in TKD as a kid, there were no study materials out there, if you forgot something, you'd have to wait till next class. I would have loved to have the resources available today.
The directions are clear and with pictures shows exactly how to do the form so you can practice at home.
